Windows 7 - Got rid of my overclock on accident

Hi I was trying to fix my computer a while back and during the process I reset the stuff in my BIOS thinking it had something to do with it. So I lost my overclocking.

I didn't set up the overclocking myself and I'm not in contact with the person who did it. I remember the frequency that my Q6600 was set at and I would like to get it back :F

The only thing that I can recall is that my clock was set at around 3.36Ghz (maybe more, but not less!) and that some voltage rating was at 1.45 (im not sure what for).

Please help me get it back. I've tried some overclocking guides before and they aren't helping me.

Q6600 from 2.4ghz - 3.36ghz

Also I'm not sure if my RAM was overclocked before, but I'd like to do it if you all can help me through it.

VCore: Mine was stock but you may need to set it to 1.45

This is the recomended overclock for your CPU. This is the setup I once had. Also make sure you drop the speed of the ram as you go up with the FBS because your ram may not be able to run at the new speed. This is the case for most.

It's not a good idea to just throw numbers out there, since every system is unique and every system has a different potential for overclocking. There is no such thing as a "recommended overclock" - making an uninformed jump like this could at worst damage the OP's hardware.

Overclocking is at best done gradually and in small steps until you see first signs of instability. Then you back off a little bit and test again for stability.
