Show Us Your Rig [3] Note
I started building a new Bulldozer rig but went with a PH II X6 1100T when Bulldozer failed to impress. I can easily upgrade when AMD gets Bulldozer improved.
Here is my specs and some pics.
Case - Corsair 400R
PSU - Seasonic X650 80 Plus Gold Modular
MB - Asus M5A99X EVO AM3+ (Bulldozer Ready)
CPU - Phenom II X6 1100T ($100 cheaper than Bulldozer)
CPU Cooler - Antec Kuhler H2O 620
Memory - 8 GB Crucial Ballistic DDR3-1866 (Bulldozer Ready)
Video Card - MSI R6850 Cyclone IGD5 PE
HDD - Two WD Caviar Black 2TB SATA III
CD-ROM - Liteon iHAS424 with LightScribe
Soon as I finish this one I need to reload Windows 7 on my old rig to give to the wife.

i cant justify the cost of an ssd at the moment. as i mainly use my pc for gaming.

Not that I can afford to get a new case right now, but I'll definitely be looking for a new housing after I get my end of year upgrade... Anybody here had any experience with the Corsair Graphite Series 600T?
I've pretty much always had my sights set on a CoolerMaster Cosmos, particularly the RC-1100, but their insane price tag makes me really sad (about R3000 to R3500 for my dream case here in SA). So a Graphite 600T for about R1500 (or the mesh panel version for about R100 more) is a bit more bearable. But would you guys consider this case to be worth the money though...?

Zalith,
I don't have personal experience with this case but being a research whore I can tell you that this is a completely great mid tower on the larger size. Perfectly set up for the H100 cooler or a 240 rad. in the top and then if needed run the new water rig for the GPU.....see links. Hydro Series Omni ALC Special Edition White Graphite Series
This is the case to have if space or monies force you from the 800D .....IMHO ! Go for it ! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number A blend of brains, brawn and dumb luck ! I'm definitely considering water cooling for it, but that will come at a later stage (when I need more than 3.3GHz out of my upcoming i5-2500K). I haven't quite decided on whether I'll go with a self-contained unit (like the H100) or a full water cooling loop yet though.. I was just reading through this blog post though, and it seems a full water cooling setup may be a bit of a tight fit (have a look at the last picture). I've got no problem with some minor modding to make things fit, but I can't make plans like that until I actually get the case...
Many people online have said the case looks ugly, unrefined, no clean-cut straight edges, bla bla bla.. Honestly though, I wouldn't ever take one of these "I wish I was a space ship" style cases.... They just don't do it for me. Oh, and if I do get it (very very likely) I'll go with the black version.
Quote: Originally Posted by linnemeyerhere This is the case to have if space or monies force you from the 800D .....IMHO ! Go for it ! Two problems with that: it's twice the price of the 600T in SA, and as some people here already know, I've got one paralysed arm.. I really can't imagine trying to move an 800D with one arm! I'd be too scared of dropping it... Edit: Right, well here's some proof that the H100 rad fits quite nicely in the 600T. Honestly, that was one of my biggest concerns... If that radiator fits, then I should have some space to play around with other water cooling setups further down the road. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number .oO-My Baby-Oo. Phoneman,
I have a good feeling the bugs will get worked out with BD so don't despair the six core on sale rips up projects like crazy. You've built a wicked rig and it looks way cool. That 400 case is a mad option for the monies ! Great solutions and options........Is Corsair the best case manufacturer at the moment?
