New ram installed, cant get voltage/frequency to stick.

Hi, i've just installed 8GB OCZ Gold DDR2 RAM on my Asus P5Q Pro Turbo board, the timings on the RAM state PC8500 1066Mhz 5-5-6@2.10v. I have checked in the BIOS and the frequency was set to auto and the voltage was also set to auto, I have set these to 1066 and 2.10 respectively but when I checked with CPU-Z it reports frequency 534.9 and voltage 1.80. I made sure I saved the changes before i exited the bios.

Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Don't forget that the first D in DDR stands for double. Also CPUz always shows the actual bus speed, which in your case would be 533 for 1066 ram, and yours is slightly higher at 534.9.

Thanks stormy, so the figures im seeing are correct? is it right that it is running at 1.80v rather than the specified 2.10?

Thanks,

Is it not the bios that controls the voltage supplied to the ram slots?
