I've been getting cpu heating warnings reaching around 70-80c when playing games on my computer. I've been thinking about getting a different CPU fan instead of holding onto the original one. I don't want to go down the water cooling route, can anyone suggest the BEST possible fan to keep my CPU freezing cold! it will need to fit a 1155.
70 pound is my budget.
Also I should add that i haven't overclocked.
Any other tips on how to reduce heat are welcome, I've got TIM on also.

Decent thermal paste, decent cooler, and a good fan... thermal throttling in BIOS at
the Intel rated threshold for the beast... if you're not O/C'd then air cooling will be
all you need...

have you tryed resetting your heatsink?
i'd start with that and make sure to clean all the old paste off the cpu and heatsink. then repaste and reset your heatsink and see if that helps.

Yeah I was hoping it was that, but ive tried :/
your not using to much paste are you?
you only need the size of a pea. if you use to much it may be causing the heat.

the only other thing to do then is as Qdos says . get a good fan .

Ok thanks, Another thing I didn't really want to go water cooling because of the maintenace but this device doesn't seem to have any of that. What would you all suggest between a good fan or this Corsair H100 Water-Cooling CPU Cooler - Aria Technology

I've got the Corsair H50. Nice & quiet. The only draw back is that you will probably have to remove your mother board from the case to fit the backing bracket. It does depend on your case though.
EDIT: Just saw you have the same case as me. If the H100 is the same setup as the H50 then the board has to come out.
EDIT-edit - You have the 32. I have the 932. Don't know about the differences.
