You might want to browse around at jonnyguru.com for PSU info and reviews generally.
Here is a link to their review of the Corsair that Linnemeyer linked. They gave it a high rating: Corsair HX850 850W Review | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

You can get some info here about who actually makes certain PSUs--though I'm not sure how up to date it is. Most brands just have someone else build the thing and then slap their name on it. http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/psu_manufacturers | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

Any thoughts as to why I may want to go CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 over XFX PRO850W or vice versa? | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU i5-2500K Motherboard ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 Memory DDR3 8GB Graphics Card GTX 570 Sound Card Onboard MOBO Monitor(s) Displays Asus Screen Resolution 1920x1080 PSU HX850 Case Sunbeam Transformer Hard Drives 1TB HDD |

I'd probably look at jonnyguru reviews and see if it had anything on the XFX.
If I couldn't find a review, I'd go with the Corsair.
XFX has a good reputation, but I'd still try to find a review of that particular model. It's probably made by Seasonic to meet a certain set of XFX-designated specifications. You just don't know what those specs were.
I wouldn't agonize over the choice.
But you should check the included connectors to make sure they match up with your video card.
It's also possible that one has longer cables than the other---which may help if you have a tall case. You should be able to get cable length info in a review or at the Corsair/XFX web sites. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

On air this would be my choice. Noctua.at - sound-optimised premium components "Designed in Austria"!
I would also choose a Corsair power supply in eater AX-850 Gold or if you think you will some day go SLI a AX-1200 Gold. Professional Series Professional Series
Both Corsair and Noctua IMHO are quality. I would suggest checking out reviews on all your selection before buying. It took me many hours looking at reviews from sits I trust before I spent the money. Out of all the brands I chose Asus was the only one I had problems with but a couple of RMA's took care of that.
Good luck and happy computing. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home made OS windows 7 home premium 64/SP1 CPU Intel i7-960-3.2 @ 4.25 Motherboard ASUS P6X58D-E Memory KINGSTON KHX2000C9, Hyper X,12 GIGS with Corsair cooler Graphics Card MSI/Nvidia/460GTX-Cyclone 1GD5/OC Monitor(s) Displays DYNEX 40 IN. If you havent bought it yet I would look over at microcenter.com for your processor and board. Check out the sale ad at the top. I was able to get an ASUS z68 board and i5 2500k for around 280. I also got RAM from there. Actually I got most of my build there now that I think about it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number ME OS Windows 7 Enterprise and Win 8 Developer Preview CPU Intel i5 2500K Motherboard ASUS P8Z68-V LX LGA 1155 Z68 Memory 8 1600 PSU Coolermaster 400w Case Thermaltake V3 Gaming Hard Drives 300GB 7200rpm

Guess what? You can use this Newegg promo code EMCNHJN69 on all Corsair PSU's until 2/16/2012. This code is for 15% off.
