Overclocking not working in windows but works on bios startup.
Ok I have a Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Motherboard and it has a Turbo Key 2 switch on it that automatically overclocks the CPU. And a AMD Phenom 2 X6 Black Edition 1055T Processor 2.80GHz
Now here's my problem after activating it, on system startup it says my CPU is 3.24 GHz but when Windows starts it says my CPU is still 2.80GHz.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium.
Thanks

As you can see with this screenshot I'm getting contradicting readings CPU-Z, SPEEDFAN and CORETEMP say it's at 3.24GHz but Windows and CPU desktop gadget says its at 2.80GHz?
This is very strange..

In your screenshot Windows is showing the CPU at 2.8ghz, I assume this is the stock speed for your CPU?
Windows 7 always shows the stock speed for the CPU regardless of whether its overclocked or not so don't worry about that.
I would be inclined to believe the CPU-z and Coretemp readings especially as they are both showing the same.

Hmm, my Windows 7 Ultimate shows two numbers: default CPU speed and OCed speed but the OC speed is wrong. The CPU-Z is correct based on the BIOS settings.

Thanks Guys!
It seems that Windows is telling me the stock speed but cpuz, coretemp and speed fan are telling me the actual speed. And yes 2.80 is my stock speed.
