I don't know what I changed in bios, but it's working now

That's some real heavy voltage there Rod, I would advise against running it that high.

The multiplier there is just what is running at the moment. My 3770K is overclocked to 4.5GHz but ATM, CPU-Z is showing a multiplier of 16 Try running IBT and look what happens in CPU-Z.

Yeah, i decided to down clock mine a bit, and left it at 4.5
running with 1.2 volts now

Those Sabertooth Boards are something else aren't they

ROD the voltage that you had for 4.8Ghz should be the voltage im using for that overclock lol

AMD can handle the voltage I can honestly say i never seen a intel rig over 1.36 V-core can you hear the eletricity going through the board lol

What would be an ideal voltage for this processor then?

Pick a target speed (the norm for a 3770K around here seems to be 4.5GHz) then modify the voltage until it's as low as it can be, yet stable All chips are different, so there isn't really an ideal.

I was informed that chip can actually go to 1.52 volts

I have a Sabertooth Board mine is AMD though but it is the same layout pretty much in terms of bios
