I had the same though about the color. It does sort of grow on you though, like a pimple. I have 6 total in two rigs.
Noctua doesn't take kindly to disparaging remarks about their colors either. Noctua doesn't take kindly to disparaging remarks about their colors either. LOL. Yes, I was going to say don't call them and suggest a color change. But, I look at it like anyone who knows computers can look at it and they know what they are. Kind of like driving down the street and seeing a Rolls Royce. It looks strange compared to other cars, but everyone recognizes what it is. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built- Always under construction OS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 X64/ linux in VM CPU Intel i7-3770K Motherboard Asus Maximus V Extreme Z77 Memory 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws Z DDR3-2400 (2X4GB) Graphics Card EVGA GTX 670 SC 4GB Sound Card On Board Monitor(s) Displays Asus 24" LCD Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Logitech G500 PSU CORSAIR AX850 Case Cooler Master HAF X Cooling Custom Water Cooling Hard Drives Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB, Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB, Samsung 830 256GB, Samsung HD103SJ 1TB . I've come to appreciate the colrs. As was said, it's also become sort of a status symbol...but instead of just flash, there is substance. A Guy Thanks for the welcome. Still workin on 4.4. Needs alot of judicious tweaks, not sure how to get it stable just yet. Right now i am just bumping the multi and cpu v, currently at 21x and 1.468 volts. light adjustments to dram v and cpu nb v as well. My board does not seem to like fsb (HT clock) adjustments all that well. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE @ 4.2 Ghz Motherboard MSI 870A FUZION Memory 8 GB GSKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 4850 1GB Sound Card ASUS Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster XL2370 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 PSU Corsair GS800 Case Antec 900 Two Cooling Corsair H60 push/pull CoolJag Everflow Hard Drives Western Digital WD5002AALX 500GB Caviar Black

Try to keep the Rated FSB close to 2000 and NB frequency can go higher and I think your multiplier as well. You can try 260x17 or 18. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built Desktop By DataTech OS Windows 7 Ultimate X64 SP1 CPU Intel i5-2550K, Differing ~4.4-4.8GHz No built in GPU Motherboard ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 Memory 16GB G.Skill Sniper 2133MHz 4x4GB Graphics Card ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU/2DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 460 Sound Card Onboard Realtek 5-1 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung P2570HD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Old, beat-up Dell USB From 10 yrs Ago Mouse Gigabyte m6900 wired PSU Corsair HX650W Case Inwin Dragon Rider Cooling Hyper 212 EVO w/two Noctua fans, push-pull, @1300 RPM Hard Drives Crucial M4 128GB for OS, 750GB Seagate MomentusXT for data, 500GB Seagate Constellation for storage Internet Speed 8-19 Mbs down, 3-4 Mbs up Comcast Cable Antivirus Norton Internet Security Browser IE 9, Opera when needed Other Info 4 case fans, LG BluRay-RE, ASUS DVD-RW, Mr. Fusion power generator with flux capacitor, 1.21 gigawatts. |

Try to keep the Rated FSB close to 2000 and NB frequency can go higher and I think your multiplier as well. You can try 260x17 or 18. I have tried at 240 x 17.5 for 4.2G, not stable at all. Think the board is holding me back a bit. (Possibly a weak CPU?) Current settings; CPU NB@ 2600, CPUNB V @1.3v, FSB @ 200, HT @2000, RAM @ 1600, 8,8,8,24,30,1T, CPUv @ 1.468, CPU multi @ 21x, C&Q enabled = 4.2 Ghz stable 24/7/365. I have tried higher without C&Q, unstable. Still workin on it though. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE @ 4.2 Ghz Motherboard MSI 870A FUZION Memory 8 GB GSKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 4850 1GB Sound Card ASUS Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster XL2370 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 PSU Corsair GS800 Case Antec 900 Two Cooling Corsair H60 push/pull CoolJag Everflow Hard Drives Western Digital WD5002AALX 500GB Caviar Black
