I recently gave my 6950 to one of the lads in the other community i'm part of. He was playing BF3 and recording @ 20fps on a good day with a Gtx 280.

Got that right. I have a couple of ideas for improving the cable management on "the ugly side" which will get done during the next internal cleaning. But I'm putting that off because once I start....

I think of cable management as largely trial and error, although some planning can help. Once I have all the cables plugged into their origins, I see what I can group and route together to go to their destinations, drive cables for example. The length of a cable can determine how it must be routed as I use a minimum of extensions. The longer a cable the more creative I can be in routing it so its largely hidden from the "good side" view of the motherboard using the mobo tray access holes and the vertical posts of the case frame. The current build has a lot of cables so I ended up spending a lot of time trying different routes and groupings through the two tray access holes and around the case frame, the latter for fan cables for example. What I'm going to do for the "ugly backside" of the case is I have many single cables that can be grouped and tied together better to make it look like a single cable. It's something I've put off for some time as I cared more about how the "good side" looked anyway.

You may want to look into some things at PerformancePCs, like cable mounts with adhesive. I used a few of these to hold the cables against the back of the mobo tray which keeps them from bulging the case side out when its back in place.

From what I've seen in pics here there are others who are artists so this is just my two cents.

I already use duct tape and cable ties, I thought about trying to mod the back panel and adding about 3". Maybe that would help.

Now that would be a great idea! I wouldn't mind having 3 more inches added to the back of my computer case either.
