Nice clean build, Bungee. You did well on the wiring, especially for a first build, and the white case looks nice.

Bungee18,
The new case is wicked cool. That's a massive case and as I've said before white is the new black. Maybe some inexpensive led lights will be the next addition. The FX will enjoy the 3c cooler temps and could lead you to an even higher overclock. I looks like you've added some sort of filter on the bottom case fan?

Thanks essenbe, just don't go at my Imperial Storm Trooper case with your light saber!

@Linnemeyer: White does look nice, doesn't it? I'll probably do the leds next time I open it. Yeah, I have screw on filters on the bottom and side fans, they are kind of ugly though. Nicer and thinner NZXT ones should arrive by the end of the week.

Thanks for your comments guys.

Cheers,

J

The fans with blue fins are: cpu cooler, DeepCool UF 140; HDD cage, DeepCool UF 140X. They are really nice and quiet. The frames are covered in some kind of rubber they call "TPE rubber" which makes them vibration free. Not Noctuas but the closest I can get down here.
I think that in the US some DeepCool models are marketed under the brand LogiSys.

Cheers and happy new year!

Thanks, I found some on Amazon, 120 and 92MM, the 140's aren't available for some reason. Costly as Noctuas though.

They had the UF 140X on Newegg. It is the Logisys SF140, but it is out of stock. I think they had a year's end special on them and they went for 7.99! That's why there are't any left.

So I suddenly dropped off the radar because, well, my SSD died and I finally decided to partition one of the 1TB drives and use that until I replace it with an 840 from Sammy.

PC's, man, they give you so much trouble at odd points in their lives.

That really sucks! Hate to hear it. What kind of SSD went bad if you don't mind me asking? Most of the PC problems I've had or ran into gave absolutely no warning, just up and pffft...

Agility 3 from OCZ, which I knew was surrounded with complaints of random failures before buying it but seeing as I've never had those problems with any piece of hardware I've ever bought, despite so many others having them...

Trust me, I thought about it. But KBrady stole it from me and gave it to his daughter for Christmas.

Terronium 12, that's real bad news, but good you're going with a Samsung. If the 840's turn out to be as good as the 830's, you will be quite happy with it. I have a 256Gb and a 128Gb in this machine and have enjoyed them very much. So, even though the loss of the Agility is bad, getting a Samsung is good news for you.
