Has intel forgot about the i3 2120k

is it possible that we will ever see a unlocked i3, possibly 3240k. They were thinking of a 2120k a while back but they ditched it. I personaly dont think it will affect sales of the other k series, just the lower end i5 + it will fill the gap in the budget area. what do you think

It would affect sales of their higher end processors.
the i3 is already pretty competitive, and if it was overclocked it could exceed the performance of the locked i7s while being cheaper.

That I have no idea, but I'm still pretty sure Intel figures any unlocked i3 would cannibalize sales from some i5s and i7s.

K series will always be exclusive to i5 and i7, it would make no sense financially for Intel to release a K version of the i3.
