Newer Bios for the P8Z77-V might mess a little the settings because of Windows 8 support, check if you're on Windows UEFI Mode or Other Legacy. CSM (Compatibility Support Mode
) is unactive or enable in the Bios? This have to be checked aswell for other legacy to boot properly.
Therefore you'll have to know if you had first install windows 7 by EFI DVD/CD Drive
mode or Normal mode DVD/CD install. If you set to Windows UEFI Mode after a normal DVD/CD install, it doesn't make any change at all
, guess the CSM enable setting will help a little to set both uefi and legacy to boot together for some drivers
only but windows stills boot on Normal mode (MBR).
Setting Windows UEFI Mode
afterward a MBR Boot instead GPT doesn't arm the system as it stays disable, anyway.
Just Enable CSM and set legacy first or both, but still stay on legacy first. Windows UEFI Mode
is dangerous at that time because it can be possible copying entire disk without enter the OS if you don't set bios Admin password. It is made for deployement i guess.
