Where to route my 8 pin Well heres the images currently its going across my motherboard and gpu any ideas where to route it? there seems to be no room at the back of my case to route a 8pin directy from the back to the socket
P.S I know the h60 block is upside down there is a reson due to presure and the amd mountin g system being crap so I had to make do | My System Specs |

Have you tried routing it through the cable management slots? You might have to get an 8-pin extender if your PSU cable isn't long enough. I attached an image to show you what I mean.
Try routing the cable before you put the side panel BEHIND the CPU and MOTHERBOARD on so that you have more room to get the 8-pin connector through. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Phenom 9850 x4 2.50GHz Motherboard ASUS M4A785-M Memory 4GB DDR2 Graphics Card nVidia GeFore 210 Sound Card Onboard Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster BX2031 20" LED Screen Resolution 1600x900 PSU 450 Watt Case Raygo R12-40835 ATX Mid-Tower Case Cooling Air Hard Drives Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB SATA III 7200 RPM Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials Browser Google Chrome Other Info Laptop:

Get an 8-pin extension and either run it through the cable management part of your case, or route it along the side and top of your motherboard. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i5-3570K @ 4.5GHz Motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z77 Memory Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4) @1866MHz Graphics Card Intel HD4000 Sound Card Onboard Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell S2309W Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Max Nighthawk X8 Mechanical keyboard Mouse Logitech MX 500 Wired PSU Seasonic X750 80+ Gold Full Modular Case Antec Eleven Hundred Super Mid Tower Cooling Intel Liquid Cooler Hard Drives Samsung 830 128GB SSD - OS

I would worry more about the cable coming in contact with something hot on the underside of the MOBO, melting the insulation, and then shorting out. The space between the MOBO and the MOBO plate is a bit tight for that cable. hArLtRon's suggestion of using the case cable management slots would be your best bet. You would need to get a cable extension like this one. Just run the cable from the PSU into the slot in hArLtRon's illustration, back out through the top slot, then run it parallel to the top of the MOBO to the CPU ATX socket. Any excess can be kept tucked behind out of sight.
Many, if not most, PSU manufacturers have yet to figure out most cases now mount the PSU on the bottom and that cable needs to be longer. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build OS Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU Intel i7-3930K Motherboard ASUS P9X79 WS Memory Kingston HyperX Genesis 32GB Kit (8x4GB Modules) 1600MHz DDR Graphics Card MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR Sound Card On board Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays HP w2207h Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G110 Mouse Logitech M525 (two in use) PSU Corsair HX750w Case Antec Two Hundred v2 Cooling Cooler Master GeminII S524 120mm (fan replaced with a 140mm) Hard Drives Samsun 128GB 840 Pro

I have decided i will buy an 8pin extender and route it throught my cabe management holes and come out of the top one then I will use the extender to run it along the very top of my case hiden and held in place by my top fan and lead it down to the socket
Thanks for all the input guys! | My System Specs | | OS windows 7 home premium CPU AMD phenom II x4 840 Motherboard Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H motherboard Memory 3 1gb kingston value moduels 1 2gb corsair value moduel@1333 Graphics Card nvidia Palit gts 450 Monitor(s) Displays 2x 17 inch philips monitors Keyboard Logitech g510 Mouse Corsair m60 fps PSU Corsair TX850M PSU Case CM scout Cooling H60 w/ push pull noctuas Hard Drives Seagate 500gb Internet Speed 1mbs |
