Thanks for correcting me. Have you thought about water cooling?

Multiplier 21.5X, FSB 205.
Upped voltage to 1.425V, memory set to default values. Anything else I should be doing?
Thanks for your help.
anything past or leading to 4.4ghz needs to be 1.44 to 1.45 your voltage is too low that is why you are failing prime voltage needs to be up to atleast that much
Solarstashines,
Achieved 4.525K stable following your advice, but the thing got too damn hot, it touched 59 C after like an hour of p95 and it idles at around 38-39C vs 34C at 4300K. I need better CPU cooling for using this OC 24/7.
I'll stick to 4300K for everyday use till I get a better air cooler or go liquid.
Thanks for your help.

Those Temps are fine under load your PC won't even touch those Number in real time Prime is made to push your PC max Temp for 24/7 oc is not to Exceed 61c You are good if you want to invest in future cooling even better but you are pretty much with in spec

Thanks again Solar, I'll keep that in mind.
Anyhow I'll probably get better cooling, either a way more efficient air cooler or an H100i or a Thermaltake Extreme 2.0. I know you are right and I probably don't need it, but the urge too keep tweaking is hard to resist!
I already ordered a board with the 990fx chipset. Its an MSI 990FXA GD80 V2. I heard they are good and read some reviews where it compared pretty well to the Crosshair Formulas, and it is much cheaper, although the BIOS seems not to be as good as Asus.

I just read your specs and saw that you are running an Antec 620. Are you happy with it? Is it very loud? How does it compare to an average/good aircooler?

Thanks for your help

Not loud at all but I do recommend getting more powerful fans then the one that comes with the 620 khuler

I still have the MSI gd-80V2 board it is ok but having a ASUS board got me Higher overclocks if you're lucky might be able to get past 4.5 Ghz but i know on the MSI board i couldn't get 4'6 stable only low 4.5 ghz if that

Thanks for the tip on the MSI. I got it more for the 990fx chipset and 2x16 at 16x PCIe slots than for the oveclocking ability. If I can get 4.5K stable thats just fine.
