mem settings

Hi all well after huge help from essenbe and Bigmck and others that helped me set up my ssd drive i now want to check as i followed a youtube video to overclock my Q660 is now puring from 2.4 to 3.2 .Just a question please on the ram in the cpuz program i see my ram as per screen shot .just wondering what i should set these settings to in the bios or should i leave them on auto.

I thought it was a lame question ,hmmmmmmmmmmm 160 peole have taken the effort to have a gander but not 1 comment .please just 1 person to help would be great .

Hi bud,

What ram do you have? The best way to find the actual specs of the ram is to look at the ram itself, it usually has a small sticker on the side with the speed and timings.

According to CPUz you have 800mhz ram, the timings look fine for 800mhz. But CPUz will just go by whatever it's set to in the bios.

That just shows the current settings that your memory is running at. Can you post another snip, this time showing the SPD tab which will reveal if your memory is capable of running faster.

Well it looks like you are already running a 1:1 ratio on the fsb/mem and you went from 2.4 to 3.2. id say that's about the best you are going see. besides lowering your latencies a bit, but I don't think that will get you much. if its stable id leave it alone. Also make sure you watch your temps closely after that overclock.

Thanks DevoDave what free temp program do you recomend for windows 7 ,i have tried real temp ,is there another you might recomend .
