AMD Temperature discussion for NON overclocked PCs Air vs Liquid

Since my switch to water cooling for my cpu, my temps have gone down. I can't speculate as to the percentage they went down since I don't know the average temperature manipulation. So I was wondering if some of you non-overclocked guys can post your air and water temps. Now I know..like comparing tomatoes and pineapples. But I would like to build a sort of graph showing difference water has on a cpu. The best posts would be from people who started on air and moved onto water and the change they noticed. For instance....on my amd fx 6100 with a stock cooler I was hovering around 28-35c during idle operation, under load it would spike to around 45-50.

CPU (using air stock) Model : FX-6100 Temps 25-35 idle / 35-55 load in celcius
Stock cooler that came with processor

CPU (using liquid ) Model : FX-6100 Temps 13-20 idle / 20-30 load in celcius
Thermaltake 2.0 Pro

The basic point of this thread is I want to see what kind of increase / decrease people end up by changing their stock cooler to an aftermarket cooler..be it liquid or air. Please post results

I like this idea.
Could you also mention the specific heatsink/cooler you are using in both scenarios?

There are many variations you have to consider what kind of air cooler was used vs stock air cooler

Waterblocks are ussually going to give you that low no matter what because of the system and fans you choose to use with the set up

in the last 4 years i been running nothing but AMD the Temps are weird and unpredictable i have one rig upstars with a Hyper 101 running a 965 Blk ed and i get no temps reported it is always at 0

I also used the same chip in other rigs and temps vary from 15c all the way up to 38c full load there are to many variables as to casing and how many fans but in general it's a good idea looking forward to seeing what you can come up with

Before going to far with this you might want to give this a read,

AMD Temp Information and Guide

Also you need to keep the ambient room temperature in mind, as it is impossible regardless of air or water cooling for any temperature to be below room temperature without some kind of refrigeration.

As has been mentioned the variables are just too great to make any meaningful notes across all of our rigs. Suffice to say that a good sealed water will run right with or beat the best air coolers and the best water both sealed or open loops will blow air away......funny pun? This is an interesting site I found and has a lot of good info.
