Not every single chip overclocks the same. Yours might just be close to it's max as it is and gets unstable when pushed in the least.

First off, I totally agree with pparks1 and thefabe, but flickering at the increase of 5MHz? That don't sound right. Prior to using Afterburner, did you ever try to oc with Overdrive to see what the result would be?
I also see the usual pre-requisite questions have been overlooked:
-Are the mobo chipset
drivers up to date?
-Is CCC and Display
driver the latest version?
-Do you have a power supply that is rated to handle the card?
