Windows 7: NZXT Vulcan Micro-ATX gaming case available May 20th

NZXT is about to release a new PC case for gamers who wants to remain portable. It’s called the Vulcan, and manages to pack a surprising number of enthusiast-friendly features into a Micro-ATX size chassis.
Here’s a rundown of the features included in the Vulcan:

• Durable Non-slip finished top handle for portability
• Black Interior
• Dual 5.25″ slots and four 3.5″ slots (internal and external)
• Wire routing holes + extruded side panel provides extra space for cable management
• Dual 8W channel fan control
• Fits at least 350mm video cards like the ATI 5970
• ATX PSU with removable filter + anti-vibration rubber support
• Dual external watercooling cutouts
• Dual top 120mm exhaust for optimal cooling
• Top mounted (2x)USB, E SATA, External HD Audio + Mic
• Fan LED on/off function: Turn off lights during night time use
• CPU heatsink cut-out + 170mm heatsink support
• Supports 200mm fan intake on side mesh
• Extra large mesh holes for optimal airflow
• Removable Hard drive cage
• Included thumbscrews for all drive

The case dimensions are 406 x 180 x 380 mm with the handle down, and weighs 5.8 KG without the power supply.

As well as offering the ability to pack a serious amount of performance into a tiny case the price tag for the Vulcan is also small. When it becomes available to purchase later this month it’ll cost just $69.99.

Matthew’s Opinion
While many gamers would opt for a performance laptop if travelling a lot, the draw of a PC is always there. You can get better cooling, use higher performance components, and there’s the option to upgrade the system yourself.
At under $70 this case is a bargain if portability is high on your list of must-haves. If you just want a performance rig sitting under your desk then a larger case with more colling options is the better option. Even so, if you have limited space for a PC the Vulcan may still be a good choice.
Reviews of the case are already appearing around the web with 3dGameMan, ExtremeTech, and Legit Reviews all rating it favorably.

LOL with case dimensions of 406 x 180 x 380 mm its hardly small, there are much smaller micro atx cases available and ones that dont look nearly as ugly.

Still a good case might consider buying it one day when I need a new case.

Yeah, neither do I. However my current case (Antec P182) is really quite a bit bigger than I really need though. I've often wished it was smaller in physical size and i don't know if I would opt for going with as large of a case on my next build.

If you're into LAN parties, then that case might be for you.

Of course, with my choice of Mobo (eVGA X58 4X SLI Classified) being an XTA mobo, I certainly am not about to play Keystone cops with that case... - well, you get the picture.

There is no point to have 4X SLI its useless.

That's your opinion. Mine says otherwise, as I already have 2 GTX260s in SLI, am planning on adding a third for dedicated PhysX and possibly a fourth (non-GPU) card that may require an 8X slot.

I like how it takes in to consideration longer graphic card, so has dedicated space for them.

Motherboards like the EVGA x58 SLI mATX mobo would suit this case.

I guess it all comes down to your gaming requirements and what you consider acceptable.

For me, I feel that SLI itself is useless as I've never had a need or a desire to run more than 1 video card to do everything that I want to do. Others may feel differently.
