Here is the rig that I am now using as a media center. It is an old PC but works great for its intended purpose.

And here it is set up with my tv.

I'll post more specs on it later but it is a Pentium 4 @ 3.0ghz, ATI Radeon x1650, 3gb ram, etc. I'll post full details when I get home.

Considering what you shipped and packed that ain't a bad price. Hope it get's there safe and in one piece.

Yeah that 2600K is nice, but I think I would have stuck with my 980X, that's me though. Good luck on the new build and can't wait to see the pics.

    Later.

Yea, I will probably hate myself in the morning as they say. But I also need some cash to help pay for cataract surgery next week.
Wishing you all the best. A Guy

    Thanks Guy

My new case showed up this evening so after an early appointment with the doc in the morning I am going to get started on building my next best system.

Or, I might start playing with these 2600K chips. ASUS sent me a new B2 Sabertooth P67 board for a review sample so now with two processesors and 3 boards its going to be fun to see if I can hit or break the 5.?GHz wall.

    Cheers :)
I think its the one downfall of the DF-30 is that theres not cable management hole near the top left, although I think it might have something to do with the MB as its a cheap one to get me by.
When BullDozer comes out and if it's worth it I'll upgrade to the new AM3+ boards in ATX form and maybe cut some holes in the skin to see if I can get it a bit neater again using some extension cables

So, I don't have much spare cash to spend on my PC, most of it is going to fixing my car at the moment... But as a belated 2nd birthday present (built it in February or March 2009 I think) and after nearly 8 months of searching, I finally found and ordered an AMD Phenom II x3 740BE. I've never really had much reason to complain about my 5400+, I am really looking forward to moving from the Athlon world to the Phenom world; L3 cache here I come!

Not that my hardware will be any real competition to most of you guys (even with the x3), but it's still my baby and I love it to bits. When my bank account gets to the point of looking a bit healthier, I'll go for a complete new build.. Until then, I'll do what I can with what I have..
