i gotr lucky on the build
a person on the nvidia forums sent me the motherboard and ram at no charge
i got the cpu off of ebay for less than 200.00 and the case i bought new
but if he had not sent me the motherboard and ram i would still be using my q6600 on an asus p5n-t delux board
i can honestly say i have been impressed with the speed of the I7
NiceI got lucky on my last build before this one, (donated it eventually) because I found the hard drive, motherboard, RAM, processor, etc In a dumpster. Free stuff is always superb ^_^
What's this about finding hardware in the dumpster?
Where do you people live, and how can I get in on this?
Especially when it's free. If it doesn't work you don't lose...because you didn't pay for it. It's a win-win.

I once recieved one of two decent machines that were destined for the skip.
The only thing wrong with them were the network cards.
