Yes you are seriously infected with the upgrade disease when you start calling ram sexy.......
But.... But.... It is! Just look at them, they're all dark and sleek and awesome and sexy. I think I may just spray my currently silver XMS2-DHX heatsinks to match..

Are you implying that it's a bad thing...? Me thinks not.. Next on my list is a Logitech G700. And yes, I suppose I would consider it to be a 'sexy mouse'.. Lol.

Besides... Despite the fact I just got a new battery for my trusty MX-1000 and the fact that it's 4 years old and still going strong, it's only got 10 buttons.. 13 would just be that much more awesome.

Well, my baby may not be much closer to all your might beasts... But I'm getting there slowly.

My brother overseas bought me a RAM kit for my birthday in July, and it finally arrived! I really hate our local postal service though, it was sent to the wrong post office, and it's actually been here since August 20th.....

I would've loved the 4GB kit, but I didn't pay for it, so who am I to complain? It's still Dominator!

Depending on how much faster this is compared to my current XMS2-DHX kit, I may end up running these at 800MHz (840MHz with my minuscule OC) and end up with 4GB total... But I'll have to run some tests to see first.

I'll say one thing though..... These are some seriously sexy RAM modules, these pictures just don't do them justice.
I won't hold the 'sexy RAM' against you... 'cause I agree with you :P
I'm running the same stuff (except, I've got two sets of it ). Best RAM I've ever used.

Lucky you... I wish I could've gotten the 4GB (2x2GB) kit, but it was a present, so I'm definitely not complaining.

But yeah, there are a couple brands out there that have never let me down, and Corsair is one of them... I've actually been after a set of Dominator RAM for ages now, so it's nice to finally get there. Thinking about it now, I'll probably try sell the older XMS2 PC-6400 modules at some point and put that towards a second set of the Dominator PC-8500... 2GB just doesn't seem to be quite enough these days.

I agree totally, mate. I've used many brands of memory over the years and only ran into hitches with some no-name companies - I always used Patriot as they've gotten great reviews in my favourite Hardware magazine - but then I jumped on the Corsair bandwaggon and never looked back.

Their easily one of, if not THE best and most stable DIMMs money can buy.

And after all that, one of the Dominator modules I received today turns out to be faulty.. I only just got home and tried them, but my PC will only boot up with one of them, the other one doesn't even get as far as loading my BIOS. This really sucks...

    That's bad news.

    Did you run memtest86+?
    Just to confirm.

Did you try the RAM in different mobo slots?

You might ask about an upgrade to 2x2GB cards, might be able to get it for a small charge, can't hurt to ask.
