    CompUSA and Circuit City are both owned by Tiger Direct. Thus whatever Tiger Direct has on-line usually it's the same price at CompUSA on line or Circuit City which is only an on line shop.

    There are some CompUSA brick and mortar stores but I've found different prices in the stores for many items.

    That Vertex for $119 is a real good deal. I paid $225 for the same SSD - more than 1 year ago. Prices for SSDs really come down.

    I found that I am being best served with a midrange system. Then I can buy a new one every 3 years rather than spending a fortune on a box that looks old after one year. There is always the possibility for small upgrades like an SSD or graphics card. But the cost must stay within reason. And since I am not a gamer, that approach works well for me.
