    New build :)


    Finally! I can get round to building my new rig not the highest budget in the world but £400-500 isnt too tight :) What do you guys think of the hardware before I start ordering? Thanks

    CASE: Antec 300
    OS: Windows 7 Professional (probably x64-bit)

    CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.40GHz Retail
    MOBO: Asus M4A87TD Evo AMD 870 (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
    GPU: HIS ATI Radeon HD 5670 1024MB GDDR5 ICEQ PCI-Express Graphics Card
    RAM: OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel
    HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB SATA-II 64MB Cache
    PSU: OCZ StealthXStream 2 500W Power Supply
    WIFI: TP-Link 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter

    + I do have a DVD-RW somewhere :)

    I did think about it but its gonna be hard to squeeze it in the budget - im afraid 500 is the absolute most

    I would be really happy with that, i would get a bigger PSU. Also have a good case.

    I looked at other PSU's - got another one that practically the same price - OcUK Crusade 650W Dual-Rail High Efficiency Power Supply ?

    +1 on the larger PSU. And the SSD can be upgraded if it's out of budget now. You are headed towards a fun and fantastic build. Take lots of pictures all during the build and when finished. Pay close attention to wire routing and keep things neat. Can't wait to see the 3.4 up and running, I have a 2.6 be and love it.

    I am running value 750W Value PSU (Which works wonders).

    Will do Ill maybe consider an SSD later on - they're bound to come down in price soon

    @rmw020 - ahh There is an 750W the same kind but it's out of stock

    750 would be right in the sweet spot and highly stable for years and many upgrades !
