I am that buddy, fae Perth ha ha, lack of Neds here lol.

Mind the thing about the net, some people blast a value product for certain reasons and some people will salute it for certain reasons.

And how can user reviews be pants, thats whats gives people the idea of the product.

I have a 2G DDR 800Mhz Ram in my rig and have had for the past year and a half and it has been under a heavy load. Served me well.

You may want to look into Gskill Memory.

Excellent RAm, and usually priced quite well.

As far as the PSU goes, I agree. Get a good quality one.

    Corsair or Antec for example.
750W is way overkill for this build IMO.
If you get a good quality PSU, 500-550W would be plenty with room to spare.

12V Rail Amps is the most important, then effeciency, and lastly wattage rating.

I would echo those who say get a quality power supply. That's the last thing you want to skimp on

    Info on power supplies …

As far as wattage I agree with Wishmaster, a 500-550 would be plenty considering your budget.

    Good luck :)

Amazon.co.uk: Customer Reviews: Atrix 720W Black 12Cm Silent Dual 12V Rail Atx Power Supply

Not compatitble with AMD, i bet it is.

Check it again. Reviews mean something. Do some background info on it.
