    Overclocking i7 875k

Hello all, I'm new to this overclocking business, and been trying to read my way through it, and see what is best to do for the new pc I just ordered. The main thing I will be doing with this PC is gamming, and I want to make the PC as best as it's able to.

    Processor: i7 875K Processor (4x 2.93GHz/8MB L3 Cache) - Asetek 550LC Liquid CPU Cooling System (dual fans)
    Ram: Corsair XMS3 Dominator - 4gb (2gb * 2 sticks)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 - 1GB
    Motherboard: ASUS P7P55D-E LX
    Power Supply: 850 Watt -- Thermaltake TR2
Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit

I chose this processor mainly cause I've read a lot that it can be overclocked really well, and it's unlocked as well. I was also curious if it's "possible" to overclock that video card (dont know if such thing exists)If there's anymore info that's needed, please let me know. I think I posted all I need, but I'm sure I'm missing something

Thank you for your time :)

I would HIGHLY suggest you read some info on overclocking to get an idea of what's involved. This would mean gaining an understanding of the BIOS and it's settings.

Here are two places to start....

    - 3 Step Guide To Overclock Your Core i3, i5, or i7 – Updated! | Overclockers

Be warned..... Overclocking done wrong can and will destroy your system!!!

    My two cents

Sweet, thanks for the heads up. I guess I wont mess with anything till I know what I'm doing with it :)

*first link took me to the forum directory* nothing with overclocking. Reading the second link, and seeing if I undertand :)

Also, thank you for the graphic card link as well! Will look at that too.
