Anroin: I had contacted CM India sales manager and he assured me that they have rectified the problem before they introduced HAF X in India.

I am not aware of stocks in USA. I hope that you will get new lot if you buy from fast moving stores like newegg or offline stores.

Hey guys first post here cause I was reading about this as I just got this case last Friday and today I experienced this which pissed me off. It was doing it before in my older case but only recently and only happened 2 times. I thought it to be static charge so I got fed up with it cause it was a cheap case and got the HAF X one which I love.

So I just put in for a parts request and hopefully will be here by end of the week most likely next. I'm gonna toy around with it by trying to figure out if its my motherboard or the actual front panel, being that it started with my old case first. I'm betting it's a bad ground some how and I need to trace it out. All the post so far have been very helpful in this and wanted to say thanks. Have you experienced any shocks/reboots lately?

It's obviously not a problem with the case based on your post. You really need to check your wiring/connections and cables from your power supply.

Hmm see that's what I used to think cause before I would say take the case panel off on the side while it was on to check wires and air flow and as soon as I would put it on bam it would do that... so I moved some cables around and it stopped doing it. Then after xmas it started with the USB thing which lead me to believe it came back but just in a different form. Guess I gotta do some tracing.

If you have shorting issues on two completely different cases, sorry but it's not the case, it's something else. Check the posts where your motherboard connects to the case. But yeah, you have a short somewhere.

    Good luck.

Ok yeah just asking but would say small metal washer on each one help give a better ground? And this only happens now with front USB ports.

Not really today's motherboards are usually grounded there so that shouldn't be an issue. When I said to check those posts I was mainly referring to scorch marks from cut wires.

Anyway I would do a thorough inspection of the power supply's connectors as well as all other connections. Look for scorch marks or dark spots on metal, the MB, or nearby wires.

The other thing is to make sure all connections are secure and not loosely fitting.

    Good luck.
