Firstly, sorry but I have to say, I told you so. $20 to ship Internationally for 30kg worth of things in 2-5 days never seemed possible to me.

Secondly, I've looked into a number of shops, both online and stores, and it actually seems that it's cheaper to just get things in store. In terms of Australian online PC shopping, your only option is really PCCaseGear. However, their shipping would still cost $100, enough to get an SSD.

So it's better to just buy parts from local stores. Generally, their prices are just as good as PCCaseGear. Check out MSY, PLE, Netplus and Austin Computers, all of which are located in Perth and have very good value parts. You can check their online stores for the prices instore as well and you can also check stock.

i was looking at vtech industries, would you recommend this?

Seeing as I'm going to India in a few days i think ill buy most of my parts from there, but the parts will be cheap or crappy you might say, well im going to Bangalore which is currently on of the major IT hubs of the world. The parts there are definitely cheaper (going as low as half the cost in AUS) and the most recent parts should be available, to be specific, the AMD Radeon 6850.
I'll check the prices and availability over there and if I like what i see, I'll buy my parts from Bangalore and bring them back to AUS to build the pc

Looking at the prices from there, and the fact that you can't pick parts up from a "store", it doesn't seem that great. Especially when you have stores like msy.com.au, austin.net.au and ple.com.au that are very competitive and have stores that are literally a kilometre away from one another.

OK,I'll have a look at those shops but do any of them have an order in option? (if they don't have the item you want, not because they are out of stock but because they usually don't carry it, they order it in for you)

Or alternatively, do any of these stores have a large range of item that i can get anything i want from?

What happens if you get a PSU thats say 750W and only 450W is need for your system, is it bad?
