    120mm fan on Gigabyte Micro ATX


    Greetings,

    Will this 120mm fan XIGMATEK Gaia SD1283 fit on this Gigabyte mobo? I ask because of the proximity of the CPU socket in relation to the DIMM sockets.

    As long as you are using one of the following sockets.

    AM3/AM2+AM2

    And you have at least 160mm from the top of the CPU and side of your case it will fit fine.

    Basically the heat sink is only as big as the socket it supports it shouldn’t take up much more room than a stock CPU fan its only taller.

hey :) before I get a motherboard, I'm between the z87-a and the z87 pro. I have 4 case fans, and on the z87-a, there's only 3 care fan headers. Would it be bad to run 2 120mm fans off the same header using a y cable? Thanks guys :)
I have a Western Digital 1 TB USB 2.0 that I have connected to a computer that has Gigabyte connection to my NAS which can handle Gigabyte speeds. I am only getting 30.1MB/s. Is there any settings I can do to windows so that it can send faster? I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit.
120mm 3 Speed Fan
in PC Custom Builds and Overclocking

There are 120mm fans that range in speed up to ~4500 rpm, but I want a fan with a speed control switch, like the Antec Tri-Cool, but higher speed. The Tri-Cool that I found maxed out at only 2000 rpm...is there a such thing as a fan which combines the higher speed with a speed switch?
