Talk about being efficient and environment friendly. Cool
For normal /non-OC use it wouldn't. People have been using cardboard boxes as ghetto cases for years.
This is just the first time a manufacturer will be offering a pre-built ghetto case.
That is absolutly fantastic.
Good on Asus for thinking up such an idea.
Thanks A Guy, +1, that is a great find!!

That's genial! For someone like me who does not need blinking and shining neon lights to show my mates how nice case I have, that's really cool way to assemble a rig.

If what you mean by ghetto cases is what street people use as shelters, the reason that they do is because the cardboard is a very good insulation. This trait for a computer case is not so attractive, because it would run hotter than a normal case would.
Perhaps Asus had the welfare of their customers in mind, but their compassion is well off target. Despite the fact that article discounts the importance of a case, I heartily disagree. Currently, I have two cases...neither of which was cheap, but the Antec runs a lot hotter than my CM HAF 922. People spend a lot of time and money for additional cooling, but this is where cooling starts out.
ha that is cool for people who want to test it all while waiting for there case. or instead of breaking down the old one to find out it don't work.
all it needs now is a Homeless guy sitting next to it with "Will OC For Food" on the box.
nice find.
I can see some people custom wrapping the boxes all wild and adding cooling options like recycling your mega big gulp container with ice and liquid cooling it could go on and on. Can't wait to see the pictures of these rig's......lol. Disclaimer on the box says please don't OC me unless you place me first in your wood burning approved fireplace !
