    Punkster,

I think there must be a limit somewhere in which any extra fans make no difference.

1 or 2 at the front, 1 or 2 at the back at 1 at the top should do a good enough job.

Here is a pic of my temps, I have 1 at the front, 1 at the rear and 1 at the top.

PC has been on for an hour with some heavy usage at 4.6ghz

    Cheers

    Paul.

Holy S#!T!!!!! do you live in the north pole or something?!?!? hahaha..

My temps are really high then.. but again, i live in Venezuela, which is a tropical country (i have the caribbean sea probably 45mins away), right now we're at 24ºC and that's because it's raining normally we're at ~32ºC

So my processor (even with the Tt Frío) is about ~36ºC (on stock speeds), so i'll suppose that your room temps should be about 10ºC, my room temps should be about 20ºC hotter than yours

I guess room temp is around 20C here the frio does a good job, idle temps are not really important, under load it will max out at around 64C after 30mins of Prime95 which is spot on for me at 4.6ghz.

Thermalright Silver Arrow... the Tech Guy from work has one, that thing is GINORMOUS the only thing i don't like is the fan colors but hey, as long as it keeps the temps under -2ºC everything should be fine...

I just wonder how loud your rig has to be, Tw33k... mine has 8 x 120mm (2 of them are in the Tt Frío) and it's really loud (nothing that i cannot live with, if i play some music, i can't hear them) but i'm actually switching my case to a Cooler Master CM Storm Enforcer with 2 x 200mm Megaflows and 1 x 120mm Sickleflow fans, i prefer a quieter case. Those Megaflows move 110CFM

    What do you think?
Mine isn't quiet but I wouldn't call it too loud either. I don't have to have the volume up very high watching movies or playing music to drown out the sound of all the fans. The good thing about those big CoolerMaster fans is they don't spin real fast but move a good amount of air so they'll be pretty quiet. The noise on mine comes from the 3x UK 3000s at full speed.

My room temp is usually ~20c. @4.2 GHz my CPU reaches 47c under full load.
