system doesn't shuts completely after overclock

win 7 x64, gigabyte motherboard GA-MA74GMT-S2, AMD PHENOM XII 550 - AMD PHENOM XII B50, DDR3 6 GB RAM, stock cooling, ASUS ati hd5450

I over clocked my cpu from dual core to quad core but even after complete shut down by the window, cpu fan is working, cabinet LED is still on, motherboard LED is on as there is a current.

Which is totaly unusual as everything switches off automaticaly after complete shutdown in normal cpu condition. What should i do? please help?

Back off your overclock until the pc behaves then see how that goes.

Hi SUMEET BALUNI and welcome to W7 Forums

I take it that you don't actually mean Overclock, rather what you are getting when using a quad-core CPU as opposed to a dual-core one. This can be a symptom of the CPU not being fully recognised by the BIOS, and can usually be addressed by updating the BIOS to a later revision. Note that there can be errors in the CPU/BIOS revision lists (I notice that both processors require the F7 revision).

Try a later release (the F8 version states that it improves CPU compatibility). F10 is the most recent.
