    xmp in bios asus. is yousing x m p over clocking i have 1600 ram but in my bios its 1033 but if i use xmp it 1600.

    For older motherboards 1600 was an overclock. On newer motherboards 1600 is a native frequency setting - You didn;t say what motherboard you have.

    If your memory is 1600, and your motherboard supports 1600 via XMP profiles, then you can turn it on, and it should be pretty safe.

    Don't expect to notice alot of difference in applications and games though.

    This is a good motherboard. You can definately run your memory at 1600.
