Could someone please give me an 'official' definition of a Frankenstein build? I mean if it is buying some new parts the taking parts from another computer to put with them, That's all I've built for years. I'm not sure I can remember the last time I built a computer with all new parts. I'm just curious if I am a charter member of the 'Frankie' club.

That's it Steve, Parts from a couple of other PCs, spare parts, and new ones. Welcome to the club. Upgrading a component or two doesn't count, a whole new PC must come out of the dark evil operation. It helps if it's done during a bad lightning storm too....

Hiyya Steve so you are probably the founding member technically speaking lol!!

Mine are just in the main recycles I get from the local council tip / recycle centre and flip bits (mostly used but some new) in and out and "modify" parts to fit to make the machine come to life!!

One condition is you must make - is the machine must have a Latin based name for the puppy!

Suggest Essenbus frankenstienimus for your first or favourite

Changing the "minimize" "maximize" and "close" buttons of a theme
Ok so I'm using a custom visual style made by another user however I don't really like the buttons used that I mentioned above. The creator states it is acceptable to change the theme to however you like as long as you don't redistribute it anywhere. Ok so I opened up the .msstyles file (using...

Remaking "My Music", "My Pictures", "My Videos" folders
hi, OK, this is a weird one. I wanted to move the "My Music", "My Pictures", "My Videos" folders to another HDD. I moved the "My Documents" Folder to this HDD without a problem but the others I accidentally set the whole HDD as the folder (if that makes sense). So now the music, videos and...
