    N2,
You can also check out my post #24 as that's one of the APU and mobo combo's.

I've bought a lot of stuff from TigerDirect.ca and don't have any complaints. I've just recently started buying from NewEgg.ca, now that they ship to Canada. Prices seem to be lower but shipping time is quit a bit longer than from TigerDirect. For me anyway. Also the last order from NewEgg, a PC case, arrived damaged. There wasn't a mark on the box either? I guess sooner or later that stuff happens, but if it happens again they have lost my business.
No mark on the box means the damage could have occurred anyplace from the factory to your door, however the shipping company should be liable for damage, concealed or not.

Right you are linnemeyerhere, problem was I didn't know anything about "APUs" at the time!
No external SATA port though, need that.

I did however find this one at NewEgg.....
    Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-A75M-UD2H FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

StarTech PEXESAT32 PCIe Controller Card - 2 Port, eSATA at TigerDirect
This is what I use only mine is a discontinued ASUS version of the same thing, then I use a similar one for (2) USB 3.0's.

Ahh! The power of the CrossFire! By enabling CrossFire between the built in Radeon graphics chip of the APU and your dedicated graphics card, you can get better graphics performance with new and old hardware, hooray!

    I found this...
Newegg.com - Open Box: ASUS F1A75-V PRO FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

It's an ASUS board with USB 3.0 and eSATA. I think I might look into that to see if it's a decent board. I haven't used one of these boards personally for a build.

    Newegg.com - AMD A4-3400 Llano 2.7GHz Socket FM1 65W Dual-Core Desktop APU with DirectX 11 Graphic AMD Radeon HD 6410D AD3400OJGXBOX
This here is a dual core APU, it's a lower end APU though. I figure that would be ample enough for a decent puter. I think I actually used this for a build a few weeks ago. It's rather decent I would say. Paired with your current graphics card, it would be fine.
