Does AMD Overdrive automatically adjust voltages?
I recently received my new AMD 7950, part of the drivers package is the catalyst control center, like the nvidia control panel. There is one section in it which manages performance, it has an overdrive mode. So while in idle the card clocks itself at 300mhz, when being used intensively, e.g. by a game it will clock itself to the max stock speed of 900 mhz, however it can go higher, all you have to do is slide up the slider corresponding to clock speed and next time it hits overdrive mode it will clock it to that speed...supposedly.
So..If I just slide up my overdrive core clock 50mhz or so, and believe my cooling can handle it (its 33 idle, 50 80% fans on 36%), is it that simple? Does the card handle any voltage adjustments and such? Or is it more complicated than that?
