Those are very good MaxxMem scores on a AMD system!
Can't recommend these Crucial tactical tracers enough, No issues at all, they were listed on crucial's site as being compatible and I have to say they certainly are.

They are rated at 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24-36 *2T* but at only 1.5V to help out intel users.

So to get nearly 1800Mhz 8-8-8-24-36 )*1T at 1.66V is pretty good.

Am sure that they may have more, they probably just about missed the 1866Mhz binning process! LOL

They do an 1866Mhz version too that will probably get you close to 2000Mhz.

I thought it was overkill on the 1090T though and hearing that some struggled to get 1600, I was conservative, I really don't believe that any thing higher than I am running would provide anything significant on the 1090T however, not with this board, although it is rated to run 2000Mhz when overclocked.

So my thermal paste application seems to have settled down over the last week or so, I reapplied paste to the heatsink on the special fan/heatsink that is fitted to my GTX 470 SOC also.

The MX4 on the GTX470 has reduced idle temps by 4-6 C

    Net results are below:

I thought I would treat myself to another overclocking session.

I have worked some good information out about this board at least.

I set the overvoltage jumper on the motherboard as max without it was 1.55V (BIOS setting) Actual 1.408-1.42V under load Vcore.

The CPU VID was'nt showing up in AIDA 64 until I set this Jumper, now it shows up just fine, and it lets you into the secret of this board and its V droop.

Set 1.6V in BIOS and you get 1.5V CPU VID in AIDA 64. exactly 0.1V less than set value.

Ok, because the chip is not BSODing when it is above 4Ghz, there is only one thing that i can deduce, and it is this, Intel Burn Test is well known for maxing out the CPU and getting it hotter than any other software, included, in my experience, Prime 95, I find that even a four hour run of Prime 95 will result in temperatures around 5-7C lower than Intel Burn Test produces when running the tests higher than standard.

So I am pretty sure that its basically temperatures that are holding this CPU back now, Pretty much as soon as Core Temp exceeds 55C Intel Burn Test fails.

I have however given it a little further push:

    OK, 4.02GHZ Nice and stable.

CPU: 4.02Ghz @ 1.45V (Vcore under load) 1.575V (BIOS) 1.475V (CPU VID) AMD X6 1090T Thuban Black Edition
    Multi: X18

    CPU/NB: 3128Mhz @ 1.45V (Auto in BIOS)
    Multi: X14

    HT: 223Mhz (222 BIOS)

    HT link: 2230Mhz
    Multi: X10

    RAM: 1786Mhz (1.66V) (AUTO in BIOS) @ 8-8-8-24-36 1T 2x4GB (8GB) Crucial Tactical Tracers (1600Mhz rated)
