PSU cover, does it exist?

    Are you referring to the panel in the attached image. If so I doubt you'll be able to buy a ready made one as it would need to be measured to fit. Unless your case manufactur sells one to fit, very unlikely though.

    Best chance for a ready made one would be to look around for case mods. I know one Melbourne Australia based company that list Case Modding in their product categories but they don't list many products and nothing like that.

    I swear I recently saw some pictures of someones rig that made a custom cover, and was covering it with a carbon fiber look. I looked through our show us your rig thread, and it wasn't here. But you would indeed likely have to create something yourself. A Guy

    that would be it right there,im prepared to pull out the surace grinder, i just dont trust placing improperly painted equiptment in my case, i unfortunately do not have a poder coating booth

    thank you for the help, ill keep that in mind, if i did, is there any safety tips on grounding the piece of metal i am attatching to ma case? improperly painting if shocked could egnite or surge

    Thornton,
    You're way over thinking this valance. It's a cover to hide the PSU, it's not in need of proper grounding as nothing is connecting to it. If you use one screw to attach it the whole piece with be grounded. Regarding paint a good automotive quality paint will work very nicely, yes powder coating is more durable but unnecessary if you handle it properly.

    i probably am, i had a bad experiance with droping a working cold cathod part on my computer, it spiked my cpu usage and me also, and arched to my case, which is why i want to make sure all is in check if you can understand my concern

    Consider having some black plexiglass cut and you can then glue it up and install with some velco dots to hold in place.

    thank you for the suggestion, i think beyond buying a case with one already thats the best option ive seen yet considdering what spawned my urgancy for one in the first place
