I agree with Mike.
As Gary posted previously.

Dual channel requires at least two RAM cards, one card for each channel.
The channel is the pathway from the RAM slots to the CPU.
Dual channel will get better WEI and RAM benchmark ratings, ie Maxxmem, than single channel.

Triple channel requires at least three RAM cards, and three channels on the motherboard. Also a supporting memory controller, CPU integrated for triple channel.

DDR: Double Data Rate
The number is for the type or DDR version, the RAM card architecture.

Boshko's motherboard H61 chipset severely limits OC options.
The default frequency for the CPU is 1066 MHz, so running the RAM at 1333 MHz is technically OC'ing the RAM.
If the UEFI has a setting for 1333 MHz RAM frequency and it crashes the system. My guess is it's CPU limited, he'll have to run it at 1066 MHz. There's not much noticeable difference in actual speed.

His motherboard manual doesn't show the necessary options under 'AI Tweaker Menu' to make any other adjustments to the RAM, no voltage options etc.

I'm sorry if I worded my post incorrectly. I think the three of us stated the same thing in different ways. Sorry to be a bother.
Have a nice day.

Hello, I must say again .... thanks for helping me.

So, as we concluded the problem is CPU. I'll see, maybe I'll change it sometime...

Again, thanks all. Thread marked as solved.

entire thread. XD

OMG me also using the same mobo and had the same problem and did all those steps almost a year ago ... i m glad u guys are working and researching on these matters...
And another pt i'd like to make tht upgrading ur BIOS frm asus or ur mobo vendor's site will not lead to any harm just back it up .. and chill u'll never require to restore.. i myself have 18 ROM backup files bt havent required the previous versions... its absolutely risk free...

and lso i joined this site just to reply this comment...

it was the same problem wid my processor being G620 which also doesnt supported 1333mhz DIMM ... so i upgraded to I5-3350 and then i can easily use it for 1333mhz... for ur future struggles.. !! dont bother purchasing RAMs again and again... those ******* at computer shop knws nothing they will always say tht u might check out QVL(Qualified Vendor List) and then try... fck them .. CPU and memory are connected wid each others man both CPU and IGPU (integrated inside the cpu) will utilize both address and data buses to access the RAM .. so its obvious tht ur CPU should also support the targeted memory Bandwidth u r trying to acheive... thanx .. i read the entire thread and it was fun ... i laughed and laughed... remembering my old times...

With no options available in his BIOS, it's like OEM BIOS - severely limited, there is no way to change the RAM frequency, his CPU may be limited to that RAM frequency also.
