I think that is a re post from the ROG forums. It does have a lot of settings. If you can think of it, there is a setting for it. And several more for things you never thought of. It has VCCSA, and VCCIO, and then VCCIO #2, then it also has 2 offset voltages for the IMC. What does all that mean?

That guide should explain it, I didn't read it that well though. IMC is Internal Memory Controller.

I see Steve is still bragging about his 5GHz clock.

I didn't even get a chance to mess around with the offset this past weekend. I am going to try for 4.6 tonight though using 1.34v. If it fails again I'm going to cry.

That post was a week ago when I did it.

Here's a good link on Overclocking an Ivy Bridge. It was done on an ROG board, a Genie I think, but all Asus boards have about the same options, I believe. You and Tom may find it interesting. It gives exact settings.

    Thanks for those :)

► Change AI Tuner to manual.

► Use a + offset for vcore. With a little adjusting you will finda setting that mimics your manual. The plus side is the with c1E, Speedstep enabled, your chips clocks and volts will drop at idle. less power used, less temps. The 1155 moboo and chip range works phenomenally well with Overclocking and power saving enabled.

Start with around +0.0400. Don't be afraid to get up to the 0.0800 range. Monitor temps and stability.

    *Optional*

Use less CPU PLL. ie 1.7v
Disable CPU Pll overvoltage. (currently set to auto in BIOS).

Tom, one more tip. If, while you are at a stable voltage in manual mode. Run Prime and open cpuz and Core Temp. After everything stabalizes, note the vcore in Prime and the VID in core temp. Subtract the vid from your Vcore and that should be your offset, or at least +/- .005 of what will be a stable offset.

Still working on this (and I'll actually remember to tonight) and my first go wasn't successful whatsoever but I believe that had more to do with my choice of LLC than anything else; my board refuses to like ultra high under any circumstance.

Reminds me of my old P35 UT T2RS not liking any more than .67x GTL. Fussy, fussy, fussy.
