Make me want to get some Intel parts and show you guys a thing or two
I think 4.5 Ghz is the standard now that's automatic clock for any overclocker being AMD or Intel

I'm taking this slow and steady, first issue is the SSD alignment issue and then settle in on fine tuning the OC but as it runs currently I'm solid and stable.
Alan, Paragon Migrate OS to SSD is the way to go. It will transfer, format and align your ssd in 1 step, takes about 15 minutes and you are good to go. It's not free ($19.95) But well worth it to me. In your case, you could use it to transfer your OS to a mechanical hard drive, then transfer it back. Paragon takes care of the rest. I use it for the best backup there is. About every week or two, I clone my OS to another hard drive dedicated just for that. If anything goes wrong, I'm back in business in 3 minutes and will lose nothing.
You're right about 4.5 and that's where I run 24/7. But, every once in a while I like to play in BIOS. It's just pure fun. I did get validated at 5.02 once, but have never managed to get it stable there. But, 4.5-4.6 is the 'sweet spot' for this CPU, and that's fast enough, unless I get bored. Plus, if I didn't bump it occasionally, I couldn't post on the 'Post Your Overclock' thread.
