Ya, there are way too many settings you can change on the MSI boards.
Honestly it isn't that bad but when it comes to real Overclocking through Bios it's very limited

They have super nice looking boards but for people who really want to get the full use out of one will be scratching their heads at the end of the day or do what I did and have a Mofset catch on fire

Well I tried some more, still cant get more than 5.3 lol, the chip is good, guess my 5.4 bar is to high. I was really close, did get 5.391 but BSOD came quick. I am really loving the new MB though. It's better overall as I can go straight through the bios and boot at up to 5.1 so far. I am gonna let the goal of 5.4 go for now. I have been benching and realized I can now oc my ram to 2200, with the old board it wouldn't boot past 2133. Ran winsat, didn't score higher so wont bother trying for more, but I thought it was cool I managed another OC higher than before so I'm still happy with MSI

That's still not bad Doug, it varies from board to board, I bet even between boards of the same model.

    Nice numbers anyway mate

Thanks Paul. I'm completely happy with it. I have a solid 4.8 daily running now completely stable.

Nice job, Doug. You can't complain much about that overclock. You're numbers are excellent too.

    Shouldn't C1E be disabled, I see it's enabled?

C1E should be enabled, C3 and C6 as well as the Package C states should be disabled, at least on Asus Z77 Intel boards. I assume the others of the same chipset too.

I think C1E is what allows the Speedstep and Turboi to work.
