Yep something special that one my son got it when he was doing his auto apprenticeship and I think it came out of a large mining truck or loader axle or even a gearbox shaft I'll ask him and let you know. (There is a huge open cut / underground gold mine locally)

But it is perfect I have those rubber pads stuck on the bottom and the top to stop scratching and sliding not that it slides very much a it weighing in at nearly 10kg (about 22lbs)

Ah yes earth moving equipment would get this large. Actually have a dear friend in Australia and buying and selling mining equipment is his bag. That's quite a chunk of hardened steel there !

Here's some pics of my setup.

Picture with the "monitor" is an older one, but the setup now is pretty much the same as that.

Pictures of the box are new.

Not much of a show piece, I'm afraid, but it does the job well.

Hey don't put yourself down mate I like it cos it is nice and neat and simple mind you I would be getting the case standing on a piece of board or some sort of flat surface instead of the carpet. mate. Personally I don't like floor level stuff too much crud down there even if it is only the 50,000 dead skin cells you shed a day LOL!! (depending on how big you are of course LOL!!

Oh and what is that about linking??
