Thanks guys, yes I love it and it rocks.

How involved is removing all the parts to paint inside the case? I had ncix build simply for warranty purposes but I think if I mark A->A, B->B I think it's a relatively simple task. I do work on aircraft after all, I think got this! Just want to make sure there's nothing unexpected I'll encounter. For simplicities sake, is it safe to leave the heatsink installed?

clgrnt- Remove the golden pins for the motherboard, or tape over it, and just use the normal tricks when painting(sanding, water, paint, leave a week, paint ext) and make sure the paint is heat proof or can withstand high temps. I painted my dvd drive in my current build, and it still looks as it did the first time, just take your time.

    Thanks essenbe

and yes ganjiry that would be a nice change coz not i'm tired of my table although it still looks as good as brand new after 5 years (i keep my things with so much care) i was thinking to build a large flat desk with a couple of drawers and a sliding shelf for KB and mice by keeping the simple look and to practice but problem is i lack in equipment for cutting wood ply.. need to buy that woodcutting hand machine and few other tools other than that i'm sure i'll be able to make something simple in the start and maybe in future i'll make something stylish

As it arrived from NCIX. Shitty cable management at the moment which was too be expected, I'll probably upgrade to a Corsair 650d in the future as well as a Corsair cooler, but for now this will suffice. Till then I'm not too worried about cable management as the case has no viewing windows and no lights. I may still route the bulk of the unused cabling under that little step it's sitting on and putting a cover plate on the front.

    Coolermaster haf 912
    3570k i5
    Asus gtx 660ti
    Asus p8z77-v lk mobo
    2x4gb Vengeance blue
    Crucial m4 128gb ssd boot
    Western Digital 1tb caviar black
One crookedly mounted Coolermaster hyper 212 (this bothers me)

    Nice rig there!

But your 2x4gb Vengeance blue Ram Sticks should be on the blue slots A2 & B2 for a better efficiency & overclocking! :)

Understood, I'll look into that more and make the switch!

I just got done sorting out some stuff, firstly the cabling. I couldn't do much more did I want to go overboard. Just hid some of the extra cabling from the PSU. Short of a new case or a modular I'm not going to put in huge efforts to only see moderate results. That combined with an unpainted case, not worth it right now.

The other was the top vent. I don't have a fan installed so no positive pressure keeping stuff out. It's also under a desk so being a horizontal surface a lot of shit was going in so voila, sheet air filter material to keep the nasty out. It flows well, and the temperature increase if any would be so small I'm not at all concerned.

clgrnt you have used "shitty" and "shit" in two posts now, stop it! I'm not offended but this is a family-friendly site and your language is not.

nice1 i'm the same mate, if u look after your stuff it not only stays looking good but when u change/ upgrade its easier to sell the old.
i always keep the boxes from components n stuff as ts easier to sell them with it, my mrs does'nt seem impressed tho

as for building a desk. as long as u plan ahead and take your time pretty much anythin is accomplishable. definately makes life easier with tools tho
    good luck

Ganjiry - I never keep boxes for longer then 3 months, if it keeps working after 3 months,it will allways work

Boogieboy - Thats gonna be a fun project, best part is you can customize the desk the way you want, for multi screens ext. Goodluck mate

    Britton30 - Well said mate.
