    Cooling Systems

    Hey guys

I'm about to build my own HD video editing computer and I had everything figured out until i stumbled on this question. How much does the computer's cooling system actually matter. I know that if your computer doesn't have one, your cpu would overheat and start melting your motherboard. Do you would need one just to keep it below melting point when its running a torcher test.

if you dont plan to overclock the the cooler that comes with the cpu will be enough

As pedroc1999 stated the one included with the cpu should be enough you could add a fan or two if your case supports it to improve air flow and thus temperature

The arctic freezer 7 is a great low price cpu cooler
As is the hyper 212 by coolermaster.

You could also use new thermal interface if the temps don't satisfy you.

I would personaly recomend arctic silver 5 it is used by most and the temps it produces will reduce by around by 2-6 degrees over time.
