New build; Computer not starting up

Having an issue, pretty sure I installed everything as far as hardware correctly. I got everything setup and pressed the power button. I saw the cpu fan and gpu fan turn ever so slightly and then nothing. Now when I try to turn it on, nothing at all happens. The standby power led is on on the motherboard, but even when I short the power prongs on the motherboard, nothing happens.

Help would be appreciated asap, I wanna try out Metro 2033 on my new computer :)

    *Edit*
I took out the gpu and tried it, nothing

Please disconnect psu power plug and pull all connections and remake same double checking all after pulling the second ram module farthest away from the CPU. Do you have the remaining modual in the #1 slot if not please place it there and try again and report back.

Make sure you have both 20 pin and 8 pin mobo power connectors properly seated and on the correct rail on the PSU if applicable.

Another trick is having the speaker connected so you can listen for beeps and report back.

Pulled secondd ram out, disconnected and reconnected everything. Psu power for motherboard is not modular, the only things connected to my motherboard are both power cables, my cpu, my first ram, and my cpu fan. Still not working

Did you make double sure that when placing the CPU that you didn't have any bent pins? I would carefully remove cooler and then the chip and look very closely and if all fine then again carefully re-install the chip and then the fan with the same paste as it hasn't fully seated with heat yet.

If the pins are fine then my gut is saying the PSU could be the issue. That's a great mobo and all the components appear premium but what make and model are the PSU? Do you have access to another PSU to give it a go?
