Northbridge temps 90c-is that bad?

    just an update, with media player blasting out music, and chrome running idle is 70c

    Played a bit of battlefield 3, temps soared up from 75 to 93 >.>

    Bit of a long shot but have you tried yo put sheet metal over the north bridge and crack an egg on top..... What happens

    lol 10 reps for you!

    excellent idea, cook them while running crysis 3, should generate enough heat. have a full on bbq for the family, eggs, bacon, sausages xD.

    seriously though thats not a bad idea considering im adventurous :P

    I get nb temps of around 45-49 degrees on my Gigabyte GA X58A UD7 mobo . The UD7 at the time of buying being the flagship motherboard of gigabyte came with hybrid silent pipe cooling . I guess is it that keeping the temperature lower in my case .
    Hybrid Silent-Pipe module is an additional heatsink unit that attaches to the water-block northbridge cooler in order to maximize air cooling.

    Nostaw5 have you gotten any word from Gigabyte if that the board is defective or not ?

    Or even better yet a RMA ?

    I cant rma since warranty has run out, and gigabyte wont reply from jan 7th im guessing due to holidays and leave.
