Sure did got me a 1050W Corsair the tech at the store said if the fan didn't turn on from boot then it is a dead fan because i told him when i start up it attempts to move and then bam it is just there

Underload it didn't budge so i'll chalk it up to a bad fan and will be starting the RMA again per Brittons advice finding my right supply

Although I said I didn't think it was the PSU, unless something was physically wrong with it, I am still surprised that is what it ended up being. Glad you got to the bottom of it, and sorry I wasn't more helpful.

Yeah it was one of those things because when I cranked up the 1050 the fan spun right away hence when booting up with the 850 the fan attempted to move but stayed there paper clip trick wasn't too fond of doing so yeah visual inspection with load and boot nada

I was reading a few customer reviews about my PSU and tons of people said Corsair is loosing quality

I can't say really but I have had the PSU for about a year and a few months

There is a common thought that all Corsair PSUs are made by Seasonic. some are made by others. It may be it's the non-Seasonic ones. The HX650 is a Seasonic though, I have and use two of them.
Two ways to tell who made yours.
