I am still around, just spend a majority of my time on the 8 forums now.

don't get me wrong, I still use 7 almost exclusively, but 8 made for new experiences and a learning curve, so I needed a forum to discuss that.

as far as my case preference goes, I don't prefer tight tiny cases, but I certainly don't want a huge case for the sake of simply having a huge case. just give me enough for cable management, and a video card. And something small enough that I don't have to run any cable extensions.
C'mon man you know if you could ban the sale of those large cases you would

Just kidding. Welcome back. And yeah, I know you aren't that bad.

I don't prefer tight, tiny cases either but, unfortunately, I live in tight, tiny quarters that don't have room for a bigger case.

Just sit it on a desk, as in desktop; that's what a lot of folks do

Uh huh. Right along with the flat bed scanner, the ADF scanner, the 22" monitor, and the big color laser printer. My case is 19" long and the night stand alongside my desk that the case sets on is only 17" deep. There just isn't room for anything bigger.

I want to run three 24" monitors but that isn't going to happen until I find a place to put my ADF scanner. I'm thinking of adding full extension drawer glides to the top drawer of the night stand, cut down the sides of the drawer, and put the scanner in there.

Actually it is 4X4 metres I must admit and behind me is a whole area of workspace but still cramped.

Could you get a small shelf under the desktop and slide it in under it? instead of on the floor.

Mind you if you have it on the floor it is a good idea to have it on a hard surface if you have carpets even so a small board with castors would make it easy for you to move it around and make cooling a lot better :)

I could if I didn't have any legs. The knee hole of the desk already has a small sub woofer in there. The remaining space is for my legs and feet. Everywhere else has drawers in the way. Trust me, I know the room and there just isn't room for anything longer.
