I think you'll be very pleased with it. I've been very happy with the 3 I've purchased and set up.

    Thank's linnemeyerhere,

What is it you like so much about the Antic case over the Define R4 case ?

Their more similar to each other, but I like the subtle styling of the Antec better. Really if it's down to theses two then flip a coin and if your disappointed with the results go with the other and don't look back.

For CPU's you choices are fading fast as I'm not sure if a bios upgrade will allow the FX series my guess is no way. That being the likely case then until you toss that whole HP mobo then choice is these:

    AMD HDT45TWFGRBOX Phenom II X6 1045T Processor - Six Core, 6MB L3 Cache, 3MB L2 Cache, 2.70GHz, Socket AM3, 95W, Fan, Retail at TigerDirect.com
Went with the Define R4 w/3 extra 140mm fans.
If I get the above CPU, would I be able to use it in a better MB in the future or would I be stuck using it with the HP MB I have now ?

Like I said, I have the Antec Eleven Hundred, and the chassis is identical to the P280......love the case and options. I prefer the Fractal Design case because you of the support for 120/140mm fans. Personally, I would like to see more cases use 140mm fans!

I also can get the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

But still have the same questions with this one too.

Actually the 965be is a 125 watt CPU so your current mobo won't power it with only 95 watt unless you contact HP and they tell you otherwise. And yes the aftermarket cooler will mount to most any mobo as they are designed to mount to the latest popular Intel and AMD mobo's but you must always read the list on the cooler manual for any limitations.

Go to the HP site for your model and look up under the CPU section and that will list all your available choices and anything outside of that is likely to not be supported and you would need to call them and confirm if it could work and if it required an updated bios and to what version?
