1 meter or 2 meter led strip ?

I`m guessing for the money, a 2 meter strip would be best ?

    Hi Brian
Sorry but my only answer to your question is why buy either? I know I am very old fashioned but why on earth would anyone want to illuminate the inside of their PC tower? I really am intrigued

I have tried doing this with my Phenom II build back in 2009 using a 12 inch LED strip...lets just say it didn't last very long...the ambient light drove me mad at night, so I got rid of it

2 meter's is just right for one loop around the front in most mid sized case's
Is this the type you mean? http://www.scan.co.uk/products/200cm...card-200cm-(80)

    Are you serious ?

Have you never viewed the show us your rig thread ? Or been online looking at custom made cases.

The question was posed to someone who has installed 1 in their case, and could give me insight on the length, not for someone who has no idea why you would use it.

But to answer your question, you would use it to show off your hard work and expensive hardware.

It`s not something you would ever leave on all the time.

Thank You for the insightful reply Ganjiry Your link doesn`t bring up anything, but the link I posted is the strip I was looking at.

I do apologise Brian, I did not mean to offend. Perhaps in mitigation I might mention that there is probably a very considerable difference in our age groups. My personal contacts in the "IT world" are mainly in my age group, that's mid 70's so have come into the world of computers later in life. Very very few of them would dream of removing a side cover off their cases, most of them would not know and don't need nor want to know that it is called a case! So to illuminate the interior would not occur to them nor indeed to me. No I haven't had time to look at the "Show us your rig" thread nor am I particularly interested in doing so. Remember we all have different levels of interest, what is terribly exciting to one generation who have been brought up in the IT world would hold nothing for those of us who still take pride in using a fountain pen!

I was not offended at all, :) I`m just wondering why you would even reply to a question you have no interest in. No need to answer I understand why you asked, it was 1 of those rhetorical questions.

    No probs,
Not sure why my link didn't work but yours is the same so you should be golden. They're good kits. I have the red one
